I just purchased the MD802 All System.  It is registered and all updates are completed and the scan tool appears to work normally.  I've connected it to three of my four vehicles and scanned all the vehicle modules with no problems (2011 VW Jetta, 2002 GMC Sierra, 2008 Honda Odyssey.)  However, this evening I attempted to connect it to my 1998 Nissan 200SX SE but it could not communicate with the vehicle.  It did connect and communicate in OBDII mode but not in the manufacturer specific scan menu.  It wouldn't even communicate with the Engine module.  Is this vehicle supported? If so, what can I do to get it to communicate?

OK, so after some additional research I've found that I can't use the OBDII connector to read manufacturer scan data on this vehicle.  I have to use the 14p connector in the driver's fuse box.  If I purchase an Autel Nissan-14 adapter and a 15p cable for the DS708 will the MD802 read and communicate with this vehicle?

I seem to be talking to myself here...no support from Autel.

So, for the benefit of anyone who happens to be reading this...I purchased the MD802 cable and the Nissan -14 adapter for the DS708.  It's a 15pin male-15pin male cable along with the adapter that connects it to the 14 pin OEM Nissan plug.  I'm now at least able to read and reset airbag codes.  However, it will not read the engine data through the OEM Nissan menu.  OBDII works fine but no OEM data support for the 1998 Nissan other than airbag.

The advertising and literature is misleading on this.  While I'm not disappointed with the tool I'm disappointed that Autel couldn't be a bit more informative and up front that the tool doesn't really work on all 1996 and newer cars because it doesn't.  The fact that it doesn't work isn't likely their fault as it has more to do with how manufacturers programmed the computers back then.  Just advising customers and potential customers is where the fault is.

Hi John, sorry to reply you late.
For this Nissan issue, it is because in some old nissan cars, the engine was using old protocol, which our product can't support it well. Sorry for the inconvenience.
